- HT-WR01 employs the latest 802.11n technology and is also backwards compatibility with 802.11b/g standards. With wireless speeds of up to 300Mbps, it can handle high bandwidth-consuming applications such as HD video streaming, VoIP, and online multiplayer gaming.
- AP Mode(Default): It is connected to a wired network and transforms the wired Internet access into wireless so that multiple devices can share the Internet. It works as an access point.
- Repeater Mode: It copies and reinforces the existing wireless signal to extend the coverage of the signal. So the network name (SSID) and password don't change. This mode is especially useful for a large space to eliminate signal-blind corners.
- Supports WEP, WPA/WPA2, WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK encryptions, WPS one-key operation makes it easy to add new devices to an existing network without entering long passphrases.
- HT-WR01 is a combination of wired and wireless network device designed specifically for small business, office, and home networking usages.

Our facility is insulated with foil backed batting in the walls thus it is difficult to get a good signal throughout the building. This repeater receives the router signal, boosts it and re-transmits it to the rest of the building. The software allows password protection via the main router and is simple to configure since the repeater has its own IP address and its own interface UI. All in all it performs very well as expected from all HooToo products.

My router is in the front of the house, and a WiFi signal has to travel through several walls and many stainless steel kitchen appliances emitting electromagnetic interference. I could barely get a dial-up speed signal in the bedrooms, and forget about the backyard. The HooToo unit solved everything! It couldn't have been simpler to set up. Just make sure your SSID is visible and that you know your WiFi network password. I now have a signal out to the farthest stretch of my backyard (about 80 feet from the original router) and the bandwidth is about 3 Mbps at the edge of its range. It gets faster at closer ranges. I also love the unobtrusive design that's not not much bigger than a wall plug. It even mounts vertically or horizontally to avoid blocking the other power outlet.

This range extender worked exactly as advertised. I had it up and running in minutes with zero problems. I was able to take a 3 bar signal and turn it into a 5 bar signal! One of the nice things about this product is the sleek design. Once you plug it into your outlet it kinda blends in with the rest of the room nicely instead of looking like a weird antenna sticking out of your wall.
