Product Description

D-Link introduces the ANT24-0600 2.4GHz Indoor Directional Antenna, a range extender antenna which provides extended range for a wireless network. Providing 2 to 2.5 times the output over bundled dipole antennas (2dBi), this 6dBi directional antenna will significantly extend wireless network coverage area up to 50%. With support for all 2.4GHz standards, including IEEE 802.11b and the new high speed 802.11g standard, ANT24-0600 will work on any wireless device with RP SMA Connector. The ANT24-0600 works with all AP/Routers to boost high-speed wireless signal in a specific direction. Supporting a plug-and-play installation, the ANT24-0600 can be installed in 2 simple and easy steps. Simply remove one of default antennas from AP/ Router and connect the new ANT24-0600. For better performance, place or mount this new antenna in a location to maximize new boosted wireless signal. Moreover, there are 3 mounting methods for your choice.

Great little gadget

This is a great little gadget. Took me all of 60 seconds to hook up and aim upstairs. My son came down a little while later and asked, "did we get a new Internet router because I'm getting a lot better service?". We both use Mac laptops upstairs and it's made a significant difference in download and upload speed. Would recommend this to anyone who is having signal issues.

it doesn't increases strength of signal and distance of operation too much. maybe litlbit. only thing that is valuable that it is directional and you can adjust easily its angle and get a best result by experimenting.

Did not work.

Inserted on a zyxel router which has 6dbi gain. Thought the directional nature would help the signal in the one direction. Actually lost significant signal strength using a wi fi analyzer app. Not useable.
