To guarantee seamless integration with your wireless network, the HWABN2 is compatible with all Hawking Hi-Gain Dual Band Wireless Antennas. With the HWABN2 connected to your laptop, the network signal is magnified by the range extender. Acting like a wireless relay, it will expand your wireless range up to 2x stronger. For years our home required we use two wifi units to cover the rooms over the garage and main living area. Our units were different brands, ageing and the younger generation was always complaining about the speed. I purchased the Hawking 300n HAWNR3 and an access point to replace and gain performance. The units are working together extremely well and the entire house hold is happy. I am thinking of purchasing another for linking an outbuilding.

I purchased this device to work as a bridge to existing cable modem router. It can be configured as a bridge or access point. Out of the box was unable to connect using wifi. I finally plugged an ethernet cable into it and connected it to a PC. Setup was a breeze at that point. I replaced a Linksys 2000RPT wireless extender which kept dropping signals.
