I read mixed reviews of this product, but decided to give it a try. I used it with two different laptops that have their own built-in adapters, in areas where signals were weak and inconsistent. In both cases, the signals were at least usable. It's not a miracle-worker, but there is a definite difference between the built-in adapters and this one. And because it is on a USB cable, the antenna has more positioning versatility than a whole computer does.

I bought this device expecting it to boost my internet signal and allow me to get internet literally across the street from the local public library. It did squat my signal did not increase one bit and the disc with the driver installation it came with would not work on my laptop so my friend had to download he driver for me and give it to me on a flash drive for me to install. I'm running windows 7 and the product box did not say it was compatible with my operating system, and it didn't say anything about it not working with windows 7 on the website either. So my friend tried running it on his PC and it didn't help his signal either. Overall I'm very disappointing with this device and would recommend not buying this product.

At first this device was working great and I was getting a good signal (about four bars out of five). But about one month of having it, I would get maybe one or sometimes even zero bars of signal and eventually I stopped getting a signal. The router was never moved and neither did my computer. I would not recommend getting this product
