Eliminate wireless deadspots with the new HWREN15 Hi- Gain Wireless-N Mini Range Extender. Complete with a 2dBi dipole antenna, the HWREN15 is sure to give your network the boost it needs to sustain a stable connection that ensures uninterrupted web surfing. To guarantee seamless integration with your wireless network, the HWREN15 is compatible with all Hawking Hi-Gain Wireless antennas. With its compact design, the HWREN15 will easily adapt to your existing wifi network and is even easier to install. Although many homes and offices already have a wireless router to distribute signal, if your laptop is barely within the range of the router, you will be connected, but your signal strength will be very low. Because your laptop only has minimal network connection, there may be data lag while downloading multimedia content, loading files, web surfing, etc. Your wifi may even disconnect from time to time due to the weak signal. With the HWREN15 connected to your laptop, the network signal is magnified by the range extender. Thus, strengthening the previously weak wireless signal and maximizing your networks data transfer rate. This provides a stronger and more solid wireless connection to improve overall uploading and downloading speed. As a result, the user experiences faster speeds and less data lag while streaming or downloading multimedia content (video, music, etc.).

I have had very good luck with Hawking products in the past, so I thought I would give this one a try. I am very happy that I did.I needed to move my router to accomodate a VOIP system. When I did this, my entire second floor became a dead area for wireless. I normally check Amazon reviews before buying hardware, but happened to stumble on this item in a retail store while looking for a solution. Went ahead and bought it and was delighted to find that it worked perfectly.Setup was fairly easy for someone with a decent amount of tech expertise. The device must near or attached by Ethernet cable to a computer on your existing network. I used my IMac. You place the Hawking device nearby and plug in its AC adapter. Then open Settings. The Hawking device creates its own wireless network which will appear in the General tab. Once you find it and select it, you open a browser, enter the Mini Extender's ip address (192.168.1.240) to access its firmware.It is a breeze after that. Once setup is complete, go back into settings and reconnect to your original wi-fi network. Works beautifully. I now have a full signal throughtout my second floor. Some 1st floor areas seem stronger as well.Note: you may need to reset your router and reconnect other wifi devices after set up. I needed to do this with my Verizon FIOS router but now everything is back on the network.Highly recommend this item! Way to go, Hawking!

Self-configures after logging into it the first time and matching to your home wireless network. Works well with my Cisco E1000 wireless-N router. Used to extend wireless signal into the back yard. Compact enough to be placed in a window sill or small nook.

Used it for a couple of days now and it seems to be working. Bought it for my workplace. Main desktop was having problems keeping connected and its speeds were really slow. My laptop was out of my routers range.My desktop now has no problems connecting to my network. Internet speeds are significantly better. My laptop manages to get three bars and the connection seems to be pretty strong and fast.Setup was a problem though. I found the instructions a little confusing seeing as there was a little extra page which changed some of the steps from the main guide. Didn't matter as neither seemed to work. While setting it up i had to relocate the adapter several times. Only when i placed it next to my router did it finally let me connect to it and finish the setup. Once that was done i just placed it where i originally wanted and it kept all the settings.So it works. Really like that its small so you can easily conceal it. Certainly satisfied.
