Exceptional Adapter!

I was stuck with the adapter my desktop computer came with... This was fine until I moved into a new apartment building that only had WiFi and I was the furthest apartment away from the source. I had 1-0 bars and constantly lost connection.I bought this nifty device when I had enough of bad internet. I was skeptical, I had never heard of this particular adapter, and it was selling for basically dirt. I bought it anyway. This adapter improved my signal up to 4-5 bars, and yes, I can see other networks I couldn't before (I even get 4-bar access to the Holiday Inn that is some distance away from me). It's fast and it's reliable.The adapter came with a CD to install drivers. I didn't bother with it: I had my computer automatically download the drivers and it worked within SECONDS.Oh: I'm running on Windows 7. It DOES work on Windows 7. The drivers just may not be on the disk. Have Windows search for those drivers instead (with an internet connection, of course).Fantastic product.

Died completely

It really improves reception of a Wi-fi signal significantly. This device helps a lot while traveling - at airports and hotels. But there are two complaints I have about it. First, why manufacturer claims contradictory nonsense in two places of a description of this product?At the very top of this page, it says "Improving 6X Signal Reception and 3x Speed", then below, in Product Description, they say:Features:* 200% Performance* 200% DistanceWow, so they expect us to believe that both 6 times and 3 times equals 200 percent? Shame on you, whoever wrote that nonsense.In reality, one can expect some 50% or so improvement in reception, over using a built in average laptop wireless adapter, which is pretty good, in my opinion.Also, at the time of this writing, there's no driver for Windows 7 available for this device. Existing driver works fine in Windows XP and Vista, but not in Windows 7. I hope this will be resolved by Realtek in the near future. (I'm not mistaken, Realtek is the manufacturer of the chip, upon which this adapter is based).UPDATE: Died completely after some 6 months of moderate use. Not recognized by any system when plugged into a USB Port, no light, dead completely. What a shame.

This product is everything it says it is and better. I am currently deployed. So wirless reception is very weak in our dorms but this product works just as decribed in the ad. I have no problem connecting and with amazing speed. I have all my co-workers wanting to order it.
